This is Brett’s 2nd year of taking lessons. It’s not his favorite thing to do but he actually does quite well in spite of making little effort. Some day that might not work out so well for him, but for now he gets away with it. Even if he doesn’t practice a lot, I figure he’s gaining something at lessons. He knows he can’t quit and he does enjoy the lesson, just not practicing. Mostly I think he’d rather be doing something else and he’s learned he has to trade his time in and it goes fast! Today he was quite nervous but he did great and he was happy when he was done. We kept reminding him to bow when he was done because most of the kids were forgetting so that’s his awkward little bow at the end. ![]()

Everyone who played at the 1:00 pm recital. There was also a 2:00 pm & 3:00 pm session.

Aww- good job Brett. I'm guessing if he sticks with it, he'll eventually be glad he did. Most people are either glad they did or wish they had.
ReplyDeleteGood for Brett! Love the bow and walk. He might be onto something.
